Would Israel Strike Iran?

The world has turned into a very nasty place over the past couple of decades and it seems there is no end in sight. Will Israel strike Iran to destroy it’s nuclear capabilities? What type of weapons would Israel use? What would the world-wide reaction be?
I think there is a good chance Israel will strike Iran in the next six months depending on whether or not the UN Security Council takes a serious run at forcing Iran to the bargaining table. With Russia and China willing to do anything to be seen as “anti-American” I seriously doubt they will allow a resolution with any ‘teeth’ pass.
Iran has been way too aggressive in voicing it’s desire to wipe Israel off the planet, and I think any country with that type of threat against it should be able to act in pre-emptive self-defense.
What Israel really needs to do is get some sort of ‘mercenary’ group together to do their dirty work so they will have some sort of plausible deniability. They can blame it on a radical Israeli group, who knows… The whole, fight-fire-with-fire idea.
I think the world is getting to the point where hate outnumbers love and that is truly sad.
